There are several ways that individuals and businesses can contribute to our efforts to keep Clough Pond ‘the little gem’ that it is. We welcome anybody who wants to help us keep Clough Pond Weed Free and great for recreational use. For example you could:

At no financial cost to you

Simply make sure that your impact on the pond is environmentally neutral or even better, positive. Do no harm to the pond, the surrounding area, and the greater watershed. Don’t pollute. Don’t litter. Leave nothing behind, take out what you bring in. See something wrong, say something. See somebody else’s trash, be better than them and remove that trash. The pond will <silently> thank you. You will feel good.

Become a member of the Clough Pond Association

It’s only $10 for an individual or $20 for a family unit which will get you a one year membership. You will be invited to our meetings (normally two per year) and you will get to vote at those meetings on what and how the CPA does what we do to keep Clough Pond pristine. We will include you in emails where we occasionally provide updates on what is happening around Clough Pond.

Update: Membership fees will increase to $15 and $30 respectively starting in FY2027 but will remain at $10 and $20 for FY2026. This is the first increase in over 20 years.

Volunteer

Want to crank up your effort a bit more than just a financial contribution? Maybe become a Lake Host to help us watch for the possible introduction of an invasive species into the pond. Think Variable Milfoil. We are still a weed free pond and are working hard to keep any and all non-native or invasive plants and animals from entering the pond. We will train you in how to be a Lake Host.

Are you running a business that would like to help us work to keep Clough Pond great? Depending on your level of support we offer:

(1) a presence on our website (see sidebar to the right) of your logo with a link back to your website,

(2) mentions from time to time on our FaceBook group “Clough Pond Association”,

(3) the display of your logo on a sidewalk sign at the boat ramp while we are performing Lake Hosting duties, or

(4) all. We are open to other ideas you might propose. Help us keep Clough Pond weed free and get a little recognition for your support as well.

We currently partner with the State of New Hampshire, Department of Environmental Services, the Town of Loudon’s Conservation Commission, and the New Hampshire Lakes Association (NHLAKES) in our endeavors. Without their support much of the good we do would not be possible.
